Without further ado, here is my first songblog song!
I figured I'd start with one I wrote a couple years ago that ended up relating to my life. This is a good one to start with also because it's one where the words were just there. The words to the verses were in my head quite a while before I actually sat down to write the rest of the song. And when I did, the rest seemed to flow together. I know, not very deep. But I wanted to start with Insecure because it's about letting go of insecurities, trying again and starting over despite everything in your way. It's about looking for truth and not just paying attention, but not ignoring who and what's around you. And no matter what, it's never too late to try again. It's never too late to do what you need to do. It's never too late to make things right. Insecure is a song of hope. A reminder that to change your life all you have to do is try.
