Valentine's Day is a holiday that brings on a lot of mixed feelings. At some point we've probably all had a love/hate relationship with it.
And this year, you might just be in a different place than you were last year. (Personally, I've never thought much about it, but have still enjoyed it; however, this is the first V-day I've spent alone in 3 years, which isn't very comforting). But that's why I chose this song.
Whether you have someone, or don't, whether you're alone or not, whether you've been abandoned or forgotten, feel unloved, or lost someone you loved, this song is such a perfect reminder that you're never as alone as you think; and you're more loved that you could possibly know.
I actually sang this song at church this morning, and last minute decided to record it for this, because I think it's the perfect Valentine's Day message. Never forget that you are loved. God is the ultimate Valentine.
And, to keep up the spirit and good feelings (and because I've been lazy about posting songs lately), I'll (try to) post a song every day this week, stemming from the theme of love.
