I like to think this song is about believing in love, no matter what. But it's more than that. It's about believing so much in a particular love, that what the person you love does doesn't matter- you love them anyway. You'll always forgive them for their mistakes. You'll never give up.
And you'll let them break your heart, over and over again, as many times as it takes. Because you'd rather they hurt you a thousand times over than you hurt them just once. You'd die for them. Even if they don't love you in return.
But that's love. Love isn't built on expectations, it's built on giving. On simply being.
Sometimes you have to wait; sometime someone might break your heart a few times before they accept it. But you'll always be there, always ready to give love. Maybe not waiting, but you'll be there.
Some people might think this is all crazy; but I think its's admirable. To love instead of be bitter. It takes more strength for that. It's easy to forget how important love is.
And sometimes love is letting someone hurt you so they can find out what love is for them.
